Tromsø International Film Festival expands its market for US and International buyers and opens a Call for Projects for feature film projects set in Arctic regions. For 2024 we are particularly looking for Indigenous films.

Unveiling the best new feature film projects in advanced development, from Norway - and beyond.
For the 2024 edition we will introduce a special focus on Indigenous and Arctic voices, inviting producers and directors from Arctic and sub-Arctic regions to present their projects. We particularly hope to see many submissions by Indigenous filmmakers.
The Indigenous focus is backed by ISFI – the International Sámi Film Institute, who will also take part in the project selection.

Fiction Norway invites US and international aquisition and finance executives. Previous companies who have attended Fiction Norway include CAA Media Finance, Participant Media, NEON, Netflix, IFC Films, Globalgate Entertainment, Wild Bunch International, XYZ Films, Endeavor Content, Samuel Goldwyn Films et. al.

Eligible applicants
• Projects related to Arctic issues and/or with an Arctic setting.
• Projects from Indigenous filmmakers from the Northern Hemisphere.
Project requirements
• Full length feature projects
• Project currently in development or pre-production
• Project suitable for international co-production and circulation
• World rights still available (preferably) or at least US rights.
• A confirmed source of financing, e.g., development grant

The projects selected for participation will receive:
• Industry accreditation, granting access to all industry activities and screenings during Tromsø International Film Festival
• Hotel accommodation for participants
• 7-minute on-stage pitch at Fiction Norway
• Tailored one-on-one meetings with key market delegates
• Networking and social events
